CULTURE & HERITAGE
While Marcel Braitstein’s life story, career and art broaden the heritage he shares with his wife Elaine Steinberg, their joint story enriches the fibre of the socio-cultural fabric of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.
Jewish families have lived and worked in Vaudreuil-Soulanges since 1820, yet their stories remain unpublished. Gannaiden aspires to document the socio-cultural history of the Jewish presence in the region and to identify the values the Jewish community shares with local cultures, in particular with other minorities.
Canada 150 Celebration
In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, Gannaiden: Garden of Possibilities hosted a gathering on December 10, 2017 of post-WWII Canadian immigrants from a dozen different countries who came to live in the MRC Vaudreuil-Soulanges Region.
At Gannaiden events food is an essential ingredient. The Gannaiden recipe box is an online collection of recipes requested by guests.
